life without computers. HW

The computers and the technology has changed my lifetime in so many ways, because it make our life more easy. For example, 15 years ago, for you to access to the internet, you had to have a computer. Now, you can access to the internet in your phone in every place.

Something that i note between the kinds of computers that I encountered in grade school compared with computers and computerized devices that I use today is that the computers now are more fast, it have more functions and programs to work with, it also is more easy to learn, and more portable that then.

I ask my parent about how was their life without computer 30 years ago and he answer that the life 30 years ago was so hard because he to write someting, he had to use the typewriter and that if he makes an error, he cant delate the word, he had to write it again, now if you type someting wrong, you just press "backspace" to delate what you write wrong. The computers and the technology make people life more easy.

DVD

DVD stands for Digital Versatile Disc or Digital Video Disc. It is an optical disc storage media format. It was developed and invented by Sony, and Philips in 1995. Its mainly uses as video and data storage. DVDs are of the same size as compact discs (CDs), but store more than six times of data than a CD.
DVD have a lot of types, some DVD types are DVD-ROM (read only memory) has data that can only be read and not written; DVD-R and DVD+R (recordable) can record data only once, and then work as a DVD-ROM; DVD-RW (re-writable), DVD+RW, and DVD-RAM (random access memory) can all record and erase data multiple times.

Controller

The controller, is use in computer hardware. The controller is a chip or extension card that work with a device attached to a host computer but not part of it (peripheral). The controller is a link or connection between two parts of a computer. The controller is an external device that manages the operation and connection with that device. A controller is usually also an adapter.

Central processing unit (CPU)

The Central Processing Unit (CPU) also know as the processor, is the part of a computer system that carries out two things, one is the instructions of a computer program, and computer's functions. The CPU is the primary element of the computer functions. CPU this word has been in use in the computer industry at least since the early 1960s. The form, design and use of CPUs have changed but their main operation remains the same.

CD-ROM.

CD-ROM in know as an acronym of "compact disc read-only memory". is a compact disc that contains data that you can access , but not write by. It is a computer for data storage and music playback. CD-ROMs are popular used to distribute computer software, including games and applications. Every CD-ROM have a capacity limit. Some CDs hold computer data and audio with the latter capable of being played on a CD player.

Byte

The byte is the capacity of some data storage system in computers or other devices . A byte is an order collection of bits. In every byte, each bit use the binary value of 1 or 0. A byte was the number of bits ( 6, 7, 8, or 9) used to make a character of text in a computer and it is the basic range of element in many computer design.

Bit

A bit is the smaller unit of information in computers and other devices ; it is the part of information that can be stored by a device or other system. A bit is also know as a variable or computed quantity.

American Standard Code for Information Interchange (ASCII)

The American Standard Code for Information Interchange (ASCII) is system of a code or
a character based on the English alphabet. ASCII codes are text in computers. Most modern character and letters are based on . The first edition of ASCII was published during 1963. ASCII includes definitions for 128 characters: 33 are not print characters.
